What is Sequel Country?

It’s a substack about the art of writing a sequel. I’ve been trying to write a sequel to my first novel “Parallel Lines” for a good year, and I’ve learnt a lot. I haven’t seen much written about the problems specific to sequels (and I have an MA in Creative Writing, so I’ve read a lot of textbooks) so I decided to share.

Sequel Country is the landscape of the sequel, a separate territory to that of writing a novel. Let’s go expore!
